PC/Client Server Analyst II - Messaging Systems Administrator
The PC/Client Server Analyst II will support the Castle Rock program, an enterprise Information Technology O&M program in Aurora, CO. The successful applicant p lans, conducts, and coordinates the maintenance and operations of our customer’s electronic office systems including personal computers, client servers, electronic mail, on-line and internet resources, Local Area Networks (LAN), and standard software products . The System Administrator will i nteract with users resolving problems, will provide application training, and is required to maintain awareness of state-of-the-art office automation technology. They will develop policies and standards for monitoring and maintaining office automation equipment and resources. Position is geared to Messaging Systems Administrator. The work schedule involves traditional hours but overtime will be required. Basic Qualifications - Required Experience, Skills: · Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience, plus two or more years of applicable work experience. · Two or more years experience installing, administering, and/or maintaining two or more of the following platforms: UNIX, OpenVMS, Windows 2000, or Linux. · General understanding LAN/WAN architecture and troubleshooting experience · Two years experience working with Microsoft applications · Proven ability to perform in a high tempo environment · Must be willing to perform after hour call support (carry pager) · REQUIRES US CITIZENSHIP · Must have a current and active Top Secret SCI security clearance Desired Experience, Skills, Knowledge: · ITIL Foundation Certification · Two years hands-on experience in Record Communication (Legacy AUTODIN message processing) · Two years experience with any of the following systems: Automated Message Handling System (AMHS), Defense Message Server (DMS), Casper, Newsdealer, Site Communication Processor (SCP), web-based mail clients · General familiarity with Controlled Interfaces (Mail Controllers, Firewalls, etc…) Company & Benefit Information: Raytheon Company, with 2007 sales of $21.3 billion, is a technology leader specializing in defense, homeland security, and other government markets throughout the world.
