PLC Software Engineer

The Philadelphia, PA office of Life Cycle Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer with 3-5 years experience with Rockwell Allen-Bradley PLCs in support of developing and testing software for Machinery Control systems on new and existing Navy ships. 

 

The selected candidate will be interfacing with program managers, engineers and logisticians, involving U.S. navy civilian personnel, support contractors and industry representatives. Job duties will be conducted in both a laboratory and shipboard environment and will include:

 

Ø  Reading software requirements and developing controls systems software using Rockwell Allen-Bradley PLC Ladder Logic

Ø  Assisting in building test lab through integration of workstation hardware with PLCs 

Ø  Providing input to test plan development

Ø  Testing signal interfaces with I/O controllers

 

Requirements will include:

Ø  BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

Ø  3-5 years experience working with Rockwell Allen-Bradley PLCs

Ø  Experience with Navy Pre-Positioned Ships a plus

Ø  Experience with Navy small boats and craft a plus

Ø  Experience with industrial automation systems will be considered

 

The position may require up to 25% travel, executing shipboard install and start-up.  The candidate must be a US citizen and be capable of obtaining a Secret D.O.D. security clearance.
