Paralegal II
As a paralegal assisting Supply Chain Management (SCM) Legal Advisors, will provide support in reviewing purchase order (PO) terms and conditions and make recommendations to SCM Advisor; will assist in drafting and processing teaming agreement documentation; will review contractual documentation and develop guidance on flowdowns; will conduct thorough search, review and posting of guidance on Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) in a repository that will be coordinated with appropriate Advisor; will research legal issues, apply facts and recommend solutions; assist in lower dollar amount negotiations; must be willing to learn the procurement process and prepare lower dollar amount POs; draft and suggest terms and conditions that provide the best protection and benefit to the company under the circumstances of the specific situation; support Intelligence and Information Systems (IIS) SCM organizations in different locations; develop expertise in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), procurement attachments, company policies, procedures, and work instructions; develop expertise in commercial software licensing; must be detailed oriented, have strong analytical skills, and excellent ability to develop options and solutions for review; must have excellent oral and written skills; must keep everyone informed of progress on a request, task, or project; should have cheerful "can do" cooperative attitude, but assertive when necessary to comply with company and legal requirements. Required Skills: Bachelor's degree with 2 years of applicable work experience, OR, a combination of 10 years education and work experience may substitute for the Bachelor's degree. Familiarity with FAR or/and Government regulations. Knowledge of software licensing, including researching and analyzing Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) licensing and the development of guidance on the use of FOSS. Experience with reviewing legal issues, and preparing/drafting/editing legal and contractual documentation to include Freedom of Information Act requests, processing of legal notices and contract provisions. Must have excellent oral and written skills. Must be detail oriented; have strong analytical skills; and, have initiative and drive. Experience with conducting and researching legal questions and issues. Must be willing to take on major projects with minimal supervision; must be willing to pursue and maintain security clearance/access; must have US citizenship with ability to obtain SSBI Security clearance. Desired Skills: Must be open to new challenges; must be willing to learn new skills. Required Education(including Major): A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Minimum of an Associate of Arts in Paralegal Studies, certification as a paralegal or similar training in addition to 4+ years of relevant work may be considered.
