Paralegal / Legal Assistant

Supports litigation matters by researching technical questions, locating documents. Identifying and interviewing potential witnesses, responding to discovery requests, preparing exhibits and drafting routine correspondence. Engages in a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to those requiring judgement and individual initiative. Provides research and support activity and counsels company personnel on routine matters. Interacts with outside law firms and agencies on information requests. Prepares agreements, instruments, documents, and pleadings relating to litigation and non-litigation matters. Maintains various legal research and law department filing systems.Required Education/Training Must have a paralegal certificate or Bachelor's Degree, and two year's experience in a position requiring legal research. College preferred.ExperienceTwo years current Paralegal experience. Litigation experience a plus. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be fully proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point as well as West Law and other internet research tools. Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently. Must have the ability to think clearly under the pressure of deadlines.
