Parts Engineer/Part Radiation Analyst

Eligible for TS level clearance required.  Candidate will perform parts engineering and part radiation analysis as follows:

Parts Engineer -Review space program parts lists to ensure part quality meets the program requirementsRecommend screening upgrades as requiredDocument parts review statusAssist design engineering in part selectionMaintain candidate part listsProvide part recommendation inputs for proposalsWork with design engineers and PMP manager to determine alternative partsWrite waivers for parts that will not meet program requirementsReview OEM webpages and other literature to keep up with the availability of new space quality parts including parts taken off the marketParticipate in meetings with vendorsProvide input to, and present parts information at design reviews.

Radiation Analysis -Review parts for compliance with part radiation tolerance limits Establish post rad part parameter derating limitsDocument radiation hardness status of partsWrite part radiation test requirements documents and test reportsAttend yearly radiation conferenceMaintain lists of radhard part vendors and radiation test facilitiesMake design review presentationsMaintain radiation data files.
