Plumber

Requires a high school education or equivalent, plus approximately seven (7) years of related experience.

Lays out, installs and repairs a variety of water supply and drainage systems used in industrial operations. Checks bill of material against blueprints and sketches to determine that proper materials are listed or determines bill of materials as required.  Plans, layout and routing of piping and lays out work to proper dimensions in conformance with applicable city and state codes. Selects appropriate fittings and makes proper connections by threading, flaring, sweating and/or leading of joints.  Tests connections and plumbing system for leaks or other improper conditions.  Locates trouble and repairs malfunctioning drainage and distribution systems.  Performs or assists in the performance of other maintenance and construction tasks as required.
