Principal Engineer-Technical Support

Description:The Principal Systems Engineer will be responsible for managing all aspects of the two Littoral Combat Ship (LCS)engineering development labs in Pittsfield. The labs managed will include the design integration facility (DIF) and the System Integration Lab (SIL). Responsibilities for this position include defining, acquiring, and activating required integration and test equipment. Maintaining all equipment as needed for it's intended purposes and with maximum uptime. Leading and coordinating lab improvement initiatives as the LCS program expands. Managing and overeeing all facility needs and addressing security requirements to maintain accreditation of the labs. Update and maintain all Lab standard operating procedues as needed. Coordinating schedules of test and demonstration events conducted in the labs, and providing technical support needed for successful execution. Collaborating with design engineers to develop test plans and approaches and to work-around or resolve any lab-related technical or scheduling conflicts.SecretQualifications:Masters with min 3 years equivalent experience or Bachelors with min 5 years equivalent experience.Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements. Due to the nature of work performed at our facilities, U.S. citizenship and the ability to be granted access to classified information is required.This position requires an individual with demonstrated strength and process focus in an engineering development lab environment.
