Principal Inventory Planner

This position executes the inventory planning process for the Lebanon facility.  In doing so, this individual will execute the model for the supply chain and develops the inventory targets based on the supply chain capabilities. This position will also be accountable for analysis, strategy, recommendations, tactic development and execution and influencing others in Supply Chain and other parts of Timken including Manufacturing operations and our distribution warehouses, globally.  The successful candidate will also manage the implementation of planned safety stocks to stay within the overall business plan.  Other duties include: developing inventory targets which optimize both customer service and working capital efficiency.  This position will also mentor and help develop junior associates in a similar functional area. This position is also responsible for the following: Develop business plan targets based on market and corporate business objectives Adjusting safety stock targets in SAP and Business Warehouse per the results of the demand creation process Executing Inventory Models, review errors and correct, validate results for reasonableness Inventory Consolidation / Adjustment Achieving approval of proposed targets (Inventory Approval) Managing the phased implementation of safety stocks to stay within inventory targets. Participating in joint Support Team processes and providing analytical support to them. Helping create meeting pre-reading materials and providing miscellaneous analytical support to the Support Team.  Participating with master schedulers, marketing and manufacturing in setting of planning strategies Actively participating in the structured and results-drive process to improve inventory models and inventory productivity over time Required: Bachelor's Degree:  Business, Supply Chain or similar discipline, with 10 years experience Desired:Master's Degree:  Supply Chain or similar discipline, with 10 years experience Watch our video to  learn more about us. www.timken.com
