LOCATION: EL SEGUNDO, CA 90245 Job Description: Perform and/or lead conceptual & detailed design of airborne, space-based &/or ground equipment antennas and other RF designs. Includes the design of structures, thermal systems, electronic enclosures, & mechanisms preferred. Candidate will be expected to follow established procedures and instructions while working closely with program/functional supervision to ensure the overall design objectives are met. Contacts are primarily with the immediate supervisor, program office leads, project leaders and other personnel (peers) within the applicable program. Candidate must possess over 8 years of hands on Mechanical and Electrical Design, Development and Implementation of Defense related Electronics, Radar, Antenna/Array and Microwave Components for airborne, space, and ground application over Broad Frequency Range . Experience in technical proposal, budget and schedule, mechanical design, radome design, electronic packaging, process control, manufacturing, hardware integration, testing, structural and thermal analysis, environmental testing, cost accounting management (Cost Plus & EVMS), generation of test plans and procedures. Outstanding ability to perform rapid development of prototype hardware, combining experience with aggressive "can do" attitude. Adept at making technical presentations and at establishing customer relationships. Possess strong planning, budgeting, forecasting, cost containment, leadership, project/program management, negotiation, communication, organization and customer service skills. Required Skills: - 8+ years experience of hands on Mechanical and Electrical Design, Development and Implementation of Defense related Electronics, Radar, Antenna/Array and Microwave Components for airborne, space, and ground application over Broad Frequency Range - Position requires use and application of advanced principles, theories, and concepts within the mechanical engineering field. - Must be knowledgeable in reading mechanical fabrication & assembly drawings. - Familiarity with the Pro/Engineer CAD modeling tool and geometric dimensioning and tolerance methods. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office [Word, Excel, PowerPoint]. - Active Secret Clearance Desired Skills: - Top Secret Clearance Preferred.
