LOCATION: EL SEGUNDO, CA 90245 Job Description: Test Engineer candidate should have a minimum of 8-12 years of system / subsystem level integration and test experience. The candidate shall be responsible for the leadership and guidance of a group of engineers, across varying disciplines, through the design, development, and integration & test phases, of STE (Special Test Equipment) with Prime Hardware. Functioning as the STE Team Lead for one or multiple programs, the candidate will function in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment and be required to exercise a high degree of organizational and communication skills. RF knowledge is needed to analyze prime Hardware & Software test requirements/specifications to determine STE Hardware & Software requirements. Instrumentation skills should include familiarity and expertise with scopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers and general test equipment. Above average proficiency of the MS Office Suite and the 6Sigma processes is strongly desired. Personal disciplines should include adherence to; lab practices, configuration control, change process tracking, and program instructions. Candidate should be passionate, a self-starter, able to work with minimum direction, and work within authority empowered by the section manager. He must be flexible with work schedule to support testing requiring non-standard work schedules, as required. Responsibilities also include managing STE schedule and cost efforts, coordination of program staffing needs, and optimizing resource utilization. Potential areas of focus are: Antenna, RF Module, and/or RF Unit Test Systems. Responsibilities include the support of design, implementation, and checkout of STE, as well as, its components. Ability to get a top secret clearance is required and a condition of employment. Required Skills: · Proficient in the usage of RF/uWave Test Equipment · Experience in troubleshooting RF/uWave Hardware and developing test solutions · Working knowledge of Software (Lab-Windows, C, C++, Visual C, MatLab, ORCAD). · Execution of disciplined approach in all facets of the STE hardware/software process including; documentation, development, product sell-off, product release, etc. · Leadership skills necessary to lead team of engineers on high-visibility product delivery · Ability to track and motivate team progress per IMS and/or inch-stone schedule. · Willingness to be accountable and take responsibility and exert the necessary influence to drive programs to completion. · Minimum of 2 years as manager or team lead · Minimum of 8-12 yrs in System / Subsystem Level integration & test Desired Skills: · Strong communications skills (written and verbal) to all mgmt levels. · High proficiency with MS Suite, MatLab, LabView, and CPI/SPI tools, is strongly desired · RADAR Systems, Design & Test Development Background (antenna knowledge desired) · Strong written & verbal communication skills are necessary to perform reporting, weekly or daily, as required by the program & management · Familiarity with EMS/IPDS processes for both hardware and software Required Education (including Major): Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics or other engineering discipline.
