Principal Software Engineer (Soldier Weapon and Sensor Systems)

Technical Lead for Development of Soldier Weapon and Sensor Systems real-time embedded software. The candidate will be responsible for technical oversight of all phases of software development using standard Common Process Architecture (CPA) processes, including technical design and requirements analysis, development, test and integration, of embedded software for multiple Soldier Weapon and Sensor Systems products. Required Skills: « Proficiency in design and development of real-time embedded software systems « Expertise in design and structured software architecture, reuse, and rapid prototype development, software development in C, system integration, embedded debugging, and problem solving « Demonstrated ability to lead small teams to successfully integrate, test and deliver embedded software products « Initiative to plan and execute multiple small scale software development programs executing concurrently « Experience with embedded micro controller/architecture development with memory and throughput constraints « Ability to work effectively with software, systems, and electrical engineering design teams, as well as program management (PM) and process engineering (PE) disciplines « Ability to work independently and manage schedule and workload assignment for multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPT) development activities « Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to the software development staff « C programming language Desired Skills: « Software architecture development, interface definition, development of integration tools including emulators and test drivers « Atmel processors (ATMega AVR 8 bit micro controllers), IAR cross compiler (or other cross compiler development experience), ATMEL AVR (JTAG) development environment. « CM/Synergy « Software product lines « Knowledge or experience using image generating sensors (EO/IR and TV) « Experience with a disciplined software development process with a minimum of an SEI CMMI Level 3 rating Required Education(including Major): B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Mathematics Raytheon is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, disability, or Vietnam era, or other eligible veteran status, or any other protected factor.
