Job Description: In this position, you will provide software engineering support and leadership in the design, development, integration, and implementation of software applications in a complex business environment with multiple, ongoing related software integration initiatives. The project will be using a Model Driven Systems Development Approach to design, develop, integrate, and implement software. LDMS is a data management service that provides access to complete life cycle data for logistics support, including access to supplier data through the Future Combat System (FCS) Advanced Collaborative Environment (ACE) / Distributed Product Description (DPD). LDMS contains performance specification baselines including Performance Based Logistics (PBL) Data and Supply Chain Management (SCM) for use by current and future supporting applications The FCS program is being run by the Army. Required Skills: - System Software Design, Development, Implementation, and Integration experience -Must have proven Java development skills. - XML, JSP, JavaScript, Eclipse/Net beans IDE -RDBMS expertise in Oracle and Oracle Discoverer - Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Integration projects, web based services - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Able to complete project activities with minimal direction - Familiar with Logistics systems engineering and design, particularly for enterprise level data management. -Minimum of 8 years relevant experience Desired Skills: -Experience configuring applications on a J2EE compliant application server (e.g. WebSphere) - Able to develop documentation as required - Experience using Rational Unified Process (RUP), Rational Tools -In depth understanding of Websphere message queuing concepts using Websphere MQ (version 6 preferred) -Experienced in development of application access services using the Websphere MQ infrastructure -Experience in connecting with queue managers using standard APIs - MQI for procedural programs - MQ object-oriented APIs such as Websphere MQ C++, Websphere MQ based Java API, Websphere MQ for .NET, Websphere COM interface - Standardized APIs such as JMS, IBM Message Service client (XMS) - Experience in logistics areas, e.g., performance based logistics metrics (PBL), supply chain analysis/metrics, configuration management from logistics perspective. -Experience in the use and / or development of custom adapters. -Metrics of army logistics, such as equipment operational availability, logistics footprint, life cycle cost analysis Required Education: BS in Computer Science or a related degree. An additional 8 years of experience may substitute for a degree.
