Process Engineer

Hexcel is seeking a Process Engineer in our Salt Lake City, UT facility.


This position is responsible for the design, implementation and operation of mechanical and electromechanical systems used for the production of, risings, films, and associated materials. Responsible to develop and implement process conditions for new materials and for the purpose of realizing cost savings and improving quality. Other responsibilities of this position include researching, troubleshooting and improving manufacturing equipment, effective planning and management of capital projects and statistical analysis of prepreg products. Customer interface and support is required as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Ø Design, implementation and operation of mechanical and electromechanical systems used for production of prepregs, resins, films and associated materials.
Ø Develop and implement process conditions for new materials and cost / quality improvements on existing materials
Ø Planning and managing assigned capital projects
Ø Statistical analysis of process improvements
Ø Research, troubleshoot, and improve manufacturing equipment
Ø Customer interface and support as needed / required
 
Position RequirementsRequired Qualifications/Experience/Skills – Be specific and complete

Ø BS – Mechanical, Chemical, or Manufacturing Engineering or other technical degree
Ø Minimum of 5 years related experience in the manufacturing of resins and prepregs
Ø Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
Ø Experience with SPC techniques and programs
Ø Experience with mechanical and electromechanical products and systems
