Process Equipment Operator

Identifies and separates metals/components (nickel, titanium, aluminum, magnesium, etc.) to prepare the cleaning process according to specifications. Performs the cleaning of engines/components by designating strip parts, placing the engine/component in proper tanks, placing aluminum and magnesium parts in degreaser prior to cleaning, soaking engine/components according to instructions
Rinses all engine/components in proper solutions and dries according to protocols; checks cleaned parts for compliance with specifications and may repeat process until standards are met. Other duties may be assigned.  Three to five (3-5) years preferred of related experience in chemical treating activities. High school diploma. Must have a working knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals and materials. Must be able to read and interpret technical manuals, work specifications, service bulletins and work instructions.  Shop Work: exerting up to (50-70) pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects. Work involves walking, sitting, or standing for brief periods of time. Near clarity of vision is required.
