The Opportunity

We are looking for a Chemical Engineer who is ready to apply their Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) or similar skills in Risk Assessment to a multi-billion dollar booming business.

Duties and Responsibilities:Perform and document comprehensive Hazard Analysis studies of energetic manufacturing processes per Alliant Hazardous Operations Standards, OSHA 1910.119 Process Safety Management standard, DOD 4145.26M and other applicable government/non-government standards. Perform analytical techniques such as What If, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), HAZOP, LOPA, etc., for the process under study and apply it in a team environment, serving as team leader/member. Determine application and assist with implementation of standard and specialized sensitivity and reactivity testing to validate operational safety for concerns identified by analysis.

Our ideal candidate will possess varying levels of the following: BS in an Engineering Field2+ years in a chemical and/or manufacturing plant settingSome experience performing safety design reviews and system safety assessments involving hazardous materials in a manufacturing plant settingDemonstrated proficiency in verbal communication, technical writing skills, leadership, and organizational skillsExperience with risk assessment methodology and other hazards analysis techniques such as What If, FMEA, Fault Tree, Quantitative Risk Assessment, etc. Will consider other experience.
