Processing Manager
Responsible for establishing and implementing production, quality and operating procedures for the Processing Departments (heat treat, plating, coatings). Ensures effective and efficient utilization of all resources assigned his/her departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Responsible for implementing and maintaining safety standards as required by law and company policy.
· Provides technical expertise and leads supervisors and operators in problem solving and ensures implementation of problem prevention via work instructions and process integrity.
· Ensures manufacturing/processing methodology and processes (quality, safety…) are adhere to and not compromised.
· Plans and monitors capacity maximization for the Processing departments.
· Monitors and takes appropriate timely improvement actions to meet production quality and quantity
· Develops, monitors and implements department budgets and production forecasts.
· Develops, analyses, and presents monthly reports, including but not limited to, forecasts, productivity, and safety
· Assigns, controls and monitors required resources to achieve established schedules.
· Ensures area Supervisors and manufacturing/processing engineering implement actions to meet the established goals.
· Leads Direct reports in monitoring production employees performance
· Utilizes SPC and other process improvement tools to analyze and control factory outputs and quality
· Identifies and leads CIP projects to improve overall performance of responsible areas.
· Responsible for the maintenance and procurement selection of capital equipment.
· Implements job related training for all employees assigned to his / her department, including but not limited to technical competencies, safety, and company policy/procedures
· Responsible for monitoring the acquisition, availability and proper usage of tools and material in his / her assigned area.
· Coaches and provides technical expertise to resolve manufacturing/processing issues and creates and ensures corrective actions are implemented.
· Responsible for creating a high morale workplace with the highest ethical standards
Supervisory Responsibilities
Has supervisory responsibilities including exempt and non-exempt workers. Supervisory responsibilities include management of employee performance, hiring, discipline, development and resource planning.

Education and/or Experience
· Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical/chemical Engineering with emphasis in Metallurgical background preferred) from a four-year college or university, minimum 5 years management experience in manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, and use shop and measuring tools.
· Ability to create and manage various reports
· Proficient in MS Office applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint and Email.
· Ability to implement job related training for all employees assigned to the department.
· Experience using SPC and other process improvement tools.
· Experience in Heat Treat and/or plating preferred
