Procurement Agent



 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Acts as an authorized agent of the Company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit Company resources through contracts and agreements. Collaborates with Integrated Product Teams, business partners and functional groups to manage sourcing strategy. Develops supply base strategies to right size supplier base. Develops and implements supplier controls and measurements including preferred and certified suppliers. Supports, participates or leads supply chain integration or enterprise process improvement teams. Integrates and coordinates customer requirements, identifies sources, prepares bid packages and conducts bidder conferences. Leads the proposal analysis process and selects best value source. Negotiates pricing and other contract terms and conditions. Prepares and executes the negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements. Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions. Defines performance expectations, establishes metrics, evaluates and monitors performance and meets with suppliers and partners to ensure compliance with the contract. Develops improvement plans and monitors progress. Leads regular supplier performance reviews. Builds successful supplier relationships.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Develop knowledge of project management tools. Participate in company cross-functional team efforts with suppliers and/or customers. Employ project management tools (e.g., earned value management, risk management, contingency planning, integrated schedules, etc.) as required to manage supplier performance, including technical, quality, cost and schedule. As needed, utilize extensive assistance from more experienced employees. Under close supervision and with detailed instruction, performs assigned source selection tasks of limited scope and complexity. Develops knowledge of source selection process.

*Previous Aerospace Experience desired



 

LOCATION: Long Beach, CA

 

PAY RATE:  $25.00-$30.00 per hr

 

DURATION:  6 months
