General Description:
The top priorities facing the successful applicant will be to generate connector design propposals and cost matrix for new programs, to possess complete understanding of APCD product lines and capabilities and provide technical support to field sales and intra-company personnel.  The ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure and deadlines.  Due to the nature of this position the successful candidate will be a self-confident, detailed-oriented individual that possesses persistence.  Performance will be measured by timely response and innovation of design proposals and accuracy of cost estimates.  Opportunities for advancement and growth are available.

Qualifications:
-Mechanical/Electical Engineering Degree
-Computer literacy with MS Office, email and design software (ProEngineer, Wildfire 2.0, and Auto CAD)
-Excellent communication skills
-Knowledge of cost and selling price
-Ability to travel worldwide
-Presentation skills
-5-7 years experience in related field
-Able to lead a team in technical discussions
-Knowledge of materials used in electrical applications

Desired:
-Connector design experience
-Bilingual - French/Chinese
-Electrical Engineering experience

Job Duties:
-Design proposals to customers
-Review customer specifications
-Generate cost matrix and present to Engineering Manager
-Launch new programs or products
-Works with other marketing personnel, engineering, purchasing and new programs coordinator
-Review design and sign-off on technical documents
