Product Development & Sales Manager

EMS Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a Product Marketing & Sales Manager for our Defense & Space Systems division. This division develops advanced technology hardware for military and space applications, including providing commercial and military customers with critical subsystems and components for terrestrial, airborne and space-based communication, radar and electronic warfare systems.

 

Defense & Space Systems is embarking on a new commercial product offering for commercial aero in-flight connectivity.  In doing so, D&SS will implement a new product marketing and management process. 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

The Product Marketing & Sales Manager is responsible leading the Integrated Product Team through the product management process, conducting market research, driving the product market-driven strategy, developing market requirements, generating and executing product launch plans, developing collateral and related materials, and conducting sales and marketing. 

The position will report to the Vice President of Business Development and will serve the co-leaders of the Commercial IFC Integrated Product Team.

 Will learn and then train the IPT on the product management process (in this case we will utilize the Pragmatic MarketingTM process). Setup a SharePoint site to capture process materials, templates, and related information, as well as to manage the Commercial IFC IPT materials.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 5+ years project and people management experience with experience in market research, market requirements, strategic planning and implementation, leading teams, and sales and marketing for technical products.Demonstrated ability to team and work closely with the IPT leaders, D&SS management and the various members of the IPT (sales, program management, engineering, etc.) throughout the product management process.  Responsible for the assuring the process steps are completed and the resulting data is captured.

 

 This position requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance.
