Provide technical guidance to support new & existing products · Translate customer requirements into specifications · Create and maintain item numbers, bills of materials and routings · Develop test plans/methods to ensure product reliability and performance targets are met · Coordinate product evaluation with engineering test labs · Communicate technical experimental results through specifications, standards and reports as appropriate · Introduce new techniques, procedures, and capabilities when applicable · Initiate corrective action as required while maintaining proper balance with cost · Coordinate appropriate NCR/CAR activities · Work with manufacturing, purchasing and vendors to qualify new materials to enhance our product offering · Manage NPI programs, assuring smooth transition of programs from concept to production · Prepare detailed and summarized task oriented schedules, milestones, and coordinates with project teams · Prompt follow through on open items to assure timely solution of problems · Formally and objectively report on a regular basis the following; product capability, actual cost vs. Planned costs, schedule status, major product problems/issues, competitive evaluations, e.t.c as pertinent · Promptly bring to management attention any significant deviations with regard to safety, product quality and cost, recommend corrective action · Assure that required documentation for programs and projects is completed in a timely manner (e.g. FMEA, NPI, PPAP) · Support and utilize new and existing policies and procedures · Other tasks as assigned   Bachelor degree in Engineering or other science Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of company personnel and others outside the company. Ability to effectively manage the interaction of suppliers, technology partners and customers in the development and qualification of technology.
