Production Planner III
Composite Engineering, Inc. seeks an experienced Production Planner III for its Sacramento, CA office. This candidate must possess significant experience as a Planner working with Manufacturing aircraft and/or complex subsystems. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Produces production schedules for complex product lines, initiates work orders, and establishes priorities for specific customer orders.2. Revises schedule daily according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, parts, materials, machines, and equipment.3. Prepares and maintains a schedule of forecasted sales, reporting to management on status monthly.4. Coordinates manufacturing capabilities and capacities with inventory planning and sales execution.5. Responsible for product work orders, cradle to grave.6. Participates in the contract review process, establishing and committing a ship date that is acceptable to both CEi and the customer.7. Maintains system planning parameters per established processes, including recommending improvements for process enhancement. (Scheduling parameters defined within the ERP system.)8. Serves as an effective conduit for information sharing among all of the functional segments of the organization for capacity requirements and material needs. 9. Audits departmental material movements (WIP).10. Coordinates scheduling activities with subordinate staff.11. Will compile, store, and retrieve production data, using computer.12. Follows safety precautions.13. Ensures that the work area and equipment are kept clean.14. Communicate in English, both written and verbal. TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS:Undergraduate degree with 7-10 years planning/scheduling experience or additional related experience in lieu of education. Detailed understanding of manufacturing environments and processes. Personal organization, initiative and creativity are required. Fluency in MS Office, effective written and verbal communications, and a professional interpersonal style are essential. Training and experience with ERP/MRP, JIT/LEAN are required.
