POSITION #1: Night Vision Systems Program Manager 

POSITION #2: Laser Systems Program Manager 

 

There are two separate positions here - both for program manager of military development programs - one managing the development of night vision technology and products, and one managing the development of laser systems technology and products.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
 
*** These positions are responsible for managing programs and leading projects in the development of night vision or laser systems technology and products, including overseeing the following: proposal development, technology design and development, prototype design and development, process development, product development, technical project management.

 

*** These positions will be responsible for assisting business development and proposal development efforts to help develop new and follow-on business. 

 

*** These positions will be primarily responsible for leading the technology development stage through the production stage to ensure customer requirements are met, products are developed according to specifications, and follow-on business is secured.

 

*** These positions will work with upper management developing new technology, process, and business ideas. 

 

*** These positions will be assist the engineering leads on technical issues. 
 
 
REQUIREMENTS: 
 
* BS/MS in Engineering or Physics. 

* Must have experience developing night vision or laser systems; 
 
* Must have experience designing these systems for product manufacturing; 

* Must have experience developing military systems and managing military programs; 
 
* Must have strong program management experience in one or more of the following areas: Night Visions Systems, EOIR systems, IR Imaging Sensors, Laser Rangefinders / Laser Designators; Laser Ranging / Laser Tracking Systems; Lidar / Ladar Systems; Laser Communication Systems; and/or Solid State Lasers. 
 
* Must be Citizen with current or prior security clearance.

The Electro-Optics Group is a divsion of The Photonics Group which recruits engineers nationwide for companies that design and manufacture optical, electro-optic, and laser systems. Our major business clientele is small-mid size military contractors who build systems such as laser rangefinders, fire control and tracking products, IR sensors, etc.. We also work with commercial optic and laser component manufacturers whose products are used to build these systems, and with companies that use the military technology for commercial purposes like laser bar code scanners, CCD cameras, or laser surgery. A minor part of our business has been with companies building micro optic or fiber optic products. The common feature of all our clients is that they are designing and building cutting edge optics and electro-optic technology. Our client companies are located across the US, concentrated near the major optics centers of Rochester, Boston, Orlando, Tucson, and southern California, but also in a dozen or so other locations. The positions we work on range from design engineer to senior manager, all requiring a strong technical background in the optics and electro-optics systems industry.
