Program Manager 4

Successful candidate will be responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of 787 programs/projects or subsystems of major programs/projects.  Will direct all phases of programs/projects from inception through completion, participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes, coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract.  Program Manager will also act as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.  Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications. Directs the work of employees assigned to the program/project from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.

 

Position will have a high level of responsibility and accountability for business and technical aspects of launch. 

 

The successful candidate will have a BS/BA degree and 8-10 years Program Management experience in an aerospace or military (Department of Defense) environment.  Specific experience should include managing a large dollar program within one or more of the following disciplines: aircraft, large weapons, satellites, missiles, ships, etc.   Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.  Experience dealing with international suppliers is a plus.  Position will require candidate to be able to travel, at times, up to 25%, some internationally.
