Program Manager, Tactical Data Links, International Programs (2978)

Location Carlsbad CAJob Responsibilities Lead a small team of hardware, software and system engineers in the development and integration of a cutting edge communications system. Candidate must map high level networking and communications requirements into a system architecture and produce flow-down requirements documents, interface control documents, and test plans. In some cases these requirements will be developed on behalf of a customer and will lead to the development of a proposal. The candate will also lead the proposal preparation activities. Candidate must also pull together cost and schedule estimates and actively participate in contract negotiations. Candidate will lead development efforts through architecture definition, design and verification stages while maintaining schedule and cost constraints. Candidate will be primary customer interface throughout all stages of development for programmatic and technical issues. Strong technical business development skills are a plus and candidate will be required to travel internationally.Experience/Skills Required Experience with Complex communication systems programs requiring flexible decision processes. Technical capability and understanding of Data Links. Understanding of program processes in various European and Asian countries. Must be able to direct SW, HW and Systems engineers.
