Project Controller/Scheduler (Performance Analyst 4 or 5) (NENS)

Performs all project(s) Schedule Management responsibilities, including: Development of a complete project schedule or multiple project schedules adhering to industry accepted principles and methodologies.Defining and sequencing project activities and estimating resources and durations.Controlling and maintaining the project schedule(s), and other project reports as required.Creating, delivering, and presenting appropriate schedule control reports.Performs all other duties as assigned.Must be able to interface and collaborate with a diverse set of resources for gathering schedule control inputs.Must be able to conduct Schedule Management analysis.May be required to participate in producing metrics on the planning and scheduling processes beginning with recording data and evolving to defining and tracking metrics and determining long range planning and scheduling strategy.May be required to participate in complete project controls activities by providing/gathering input to/from Cost Management resources. Must possess an expert proficiency in MS Project 2007 or later version.Contract specific benefits will apply.



Basic Qualifications:

PA 4 requirements:  BA/BS degree and 5 years of related experience, or 13 years equivalent related experience with no degree.

PA 5 requirements:  BA/BS degree and 8 years of related experience, or 16 years equivalent related experience with no degree. Specific contracts may require incumbents to be certified.Proficiency in applying industry standard Schedule Management principles and theories to project scheduling required. 

 

MS Project 2007 required. 

 

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills; he/she will have initiative, be a self-starter, and produce results independently or in a team environment. He/She must be a collaborator and work well with other team/non-team members. He/she must be persuasive and confident in gathering information. Must be able to work in fast paced environment.Strong attention to detail is needed. Candidate must have medium to high-level proficiency working with MS Office tools. 

 

Additional Qualifications:

EVMS knowledge desired. 

MS Enterprise Project Management Server 2007 experience desired.

Familiarization with Cost Management and PMBOK/PMI a plus.

Experience in Schedule Management within an Engineering, IT, or other technical industry preferred.
