Project Engineer

The purpose to this function is to provide systems engineering support to allow for the matriculation of the Suit Element requirements vehicle in support of the Crew Exploration Vehicle and the Constellation Program.  This function will provide project engineering support by providing design oversight and process oriented efforts.  This function will provide mid-level analysis in pressure drop calculations, hoop stresses, hard and soft-goods, and advice with regard to impact load. Essential Qualifications: Must have US Citizenship BS in Engineering Excellent written and oral communication skills Background in a NASA Spaceflight function of Spaceflight Research preferred Responsibilities: Maintain open communication and working relationship with the team as well as act as the lead in discussions with the contract and the customer Research parent/child requiremental relationships and identify orphan requirements Provide technical and requiremental oversight through the development of the preliminary design Provide project engineering products as required by the work Become well versed in all work instructions levied by the contract and the customer Responsible for compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental plan; must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all of the Company’s safety policies and rules and must be willing to report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel Responsible for compliance with the Quality Assurance Plan, policies and procedures Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance level as determined by the Company Conform and support all NASA, JSC, & MEI safety requirements and procedures May require other duties as assignedEmail resumes to: resumes@meitechinc.com URL: www.meitechinc.com
