Project Engineer-Design/ 3969 The candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and programmatic oversight for the design, qualification and certification of new hydraulic pump development programs, including scheduling, tracking and ensuring successful performance to schedule and deliveries. In addition, the candidate will participate in other related functions in support of a growing and expanding Hydraulic System business within Parker by integrating and developing pumps for these systems. Responsibilities:· Project Lead - Design and Development of axial piston pumps and integration of control components and new technology.· Create hardware design specifications.· Coordinate requirements internally and with customer to assure compatibility with system design. · Create and maintain Source Control Drawings and Customer Interface Control Drawings· Review, coordinate and/or draft procedures for hardware development, acceptance and qualification testing.· Ensure complete and timely response to customer inquiries and supplier data submittals. Review all deliverables to ensure compliance with established guidelines and/or requirements.· Interface directly with Suppliers, Customer, Internal personal and Program Managers to ensure data deliverables are dispositioned and submitted on schedule. Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills are essential.· Conduct hardware design reviews with suppliers and/or customers· Assure hardware development, qualification and certification activities are completed in accordance with program milestones, budget and agreed to schedules with the customer.· Develop, maintain, and track schedules· Actively participate in team meetings and support development system/hardware architecture· Conduct and coordinate component failure investigation with supplier/customers· Participate in developing and implementing strategies to reduce hardware development time and cost· Requirements: · BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering· 7+ years direct experience or working knowledge of hydraulic pumps, testing and certification. · Understanding of axial piston hydraulic pumps and the controls, along with understanding of boost pumps· Basic understanding of aircraft functions such as flight controls, landing gear, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems is preferred.· Basic knowledge of military, SAE, ASME, et al. Specifications· Working knowledge of FAR/JAR Part 25.1435 is highly desired· Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Lotus Notes, MS Project. CATIA Version 5 solid modeling and drafting skills (Beneficial but not required as we will train)· Must be willing to travel· US Citizenship
