Project Engineer (IPTL)

LOCATION: EL SEGUNDO, CA 90245 Job Description: Provides management and coordination Receiver Exciter Product lines Deliveries: Design Updates, STE upgrades, Engineering Packages, Lab Management, production support of hardware deliveries including troubleshooting, & Engineering Root-Cause Investigations. Responsible for all aspects of the REX project including Leading & supporting of proposals, specification/interface definition, Integrated Master Plan/Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), technical oversight, cost/schedule performance, conformance to ITAR (US International Traffic in Arms Regulations), staff training coordination and customer interface. Interfaces with a variety of functional, technical, and programmatic teams to determine impacts, workarounds, and appropriate change vehicles for implementation. Knowledgeable with Raytheon's IPDS (Integrated Product Development System) processes as it relates to business capture, program start-up, execution, close-out. Assist with testing, troubleshooting and implementation of (Space and/or Airborne) Production Hardware. Troubleshoot from unit level to component level parts. Presents Hardware Demos with customers and management. Must be willing to travel to coordinate with Manufacturing and vendors. Required Skills: -6+ years of related work experience. -Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance. -Strong coordination, organization, teaming and communication abilities along with horizontal integration skills. -Must have relevant program/project management experience. -Excellent oral and written communications skills, team building and team leadership experience and able to work with minimum direct supervision. -Must understand configuration management and engineering change processes. -Knowledge of Mechanical and process engineering principles is a must. -Must be familiar with mixed signal design & test issues. -Must be knowledgeable on proposal preparation processes. -Good people and customer interface skills. -Ability to influence development of project objectives and goals. -Competence with MS Office and Project applications a must. -Cost Account Management experience needed. -Manage and track program budgets. -Lead electrical and mechanical teams on projects where engineering solutions are needed to support program delivery schedule. -Interface with program office management and lead special projects that program office assigns to the team. -Interface with all outside disciplines (Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, etc) including outside suppliers. -Needs to be able to travel. -Familiar with Antenna testing and implementation. -Experience in supervising the day-to-day activities of a diverse & cross functional team on radar sensor development and support IR&D projects. Required Education (including Major): Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Master’s Degree in Engineering preferred.
