Project Engineer- Systems/ 3829 Position GuidelinesAn individual capable of leading or contributing to the systems definition, integration, qualification and certification efforts for commercial aircraft hydraulic systems. An individual capable of working as part of an integrated product development team responsible for hydraulic systems, especially the definition & integration of the control, indication, & maintenance software functions. The ideal candidate should have 5 or more years of experience with electronics/software/analysis for aircraft hydraulic systems, including capabilities in several of the following areas:· Aerospace hydraulic system control definition & integration· Aerospace hydraulic system indication definition & integration· Aerospace hydraulic system fault monitoring definition & integration· Aerospace hydraulic system health management definition & implementation· Software/Electrical Hardware integration· Familiar with aircraft hydraulic system architecture and the associated components (including EDPs, EMPs, filters, reservoirs, accumulators, valves, electrnic controllers, etc.)· Electrical signal interface definition & integration of hydraulic system components· Reliability analysis· Fault tree analysis· Failure Modes and Effects Analysis· Hydraulic System Maintenance Tasks · Familiar with testing defined in DO-160  Additional capabilities/experience that would be beneficial include· Because the control, indication & maintenance functions are implemented in software as a hosted function in an ARINC 653 partitioned operating system running in an integrated modular avionics system, the following experience is desired:o Digital data bus experienceo ARINC 429 & 664o ARINC 653o Software requirements definition and documentationo Software verification and validationo Development of real-time, embedded aerospace software and the associated certification issueso DO-178B & DO-254· Knowledge of hydraulic system qualification & FAA hardware/software certification· Knowledge of EASY5 or similar hydraulics system modeling and simulation tools· Famliar witg CAFTA or similar Fault Tree tool· Must be willing to travel frequently. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.Education Bachelors degree (BS) in systems, mechanical, electrical, software, or aerospace engineering or a related technical discipline. Master degree preferred.
