Project Quality Engineer

 Moog’s Aircraft Division, located in East Aurora, NY is seeking qualified candidates for an immediate opening in their Quality Engineering Department. Job Responsibilities: ·  Evaluating and trending past non-conformances.·  Identifying design or process changes that will reduce further occurrences.·  Key characteristic identification and key process assessment including deployment throughout the supply chain.·  Process risk assessment mitigation, including development and follow through of process FMEA’s (process proofing).·  Provide statistical support and facilitate continual improvement initiatives as required to the technical team using statistical and process variation reduction techniques and tools.·  Assist in supplier development and support by developing requirements based on technical needs to provide product/process assessments and improvements.·  Supervise quality engineers, quality technicians assigned to the program. Education/Experience Bachelor’s of Science degree with three (3) years technical experience is mandatory. Candidate must have sufficient background in statistical methods to develop unique solutions for continuous improvement efforts and process monitoring problems.  Proficiency in MS Office professional software is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain complex problems in a concise manner is required. Some travel required.
