Project Software Engineer - QNX

Designs and develops computer software systems in a FDA regulated environment, in conjunction with hardware product development, by performing the duties outlined below.1.  Consults with hardware and senior software engineering staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system. 2.  Applies generally accepted programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation. 3.  Participates in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting application software. 4.  Interfaces with SV&V personnel. 5.  Installs software and user utilities for modifications and upgrades of operating systems and workstation environments. 6.  Diagnoses and resolves software problems.  BSEE or BSCS, with minimum 5 years experience Good oral and written communications skills. Extensive software development experience with RTOS preferred QNX, embedded Linux acceptable Strong C programming skills POSIX Threads programming Programming experience for RS232, RS485 based communication protocols. Good Knowledge of TCP/IP programming Debugging and Performance Tuning skills Real Time Video Image Processing experience Shell scripts programming Excellent math skills Experience with Revision Control and Bug Tracking SystemsAdvanced Medical Optics offers a competitive salary and generous benefits package.
