Our Science and Technical Services (STS) Product Line, Maritime Group has an opening for a Protection Systems Operations Research Analyst. Position Summary The applicant will be expected to perform research and detailed technical analysis of Federal Government, including the Department of Defense (DOD), Protection programs to include, but not limited to CBRNE, AT, CIP, and Emergency Preparedness. Applicant will interface daily with other analyst and subject matter experts providing awareness of policy and requirements of existing programs of record and regulatory guidance. The applicant with interface directly with multiple clients on a regular basis. Applicant will directly support senior staff members in the development of client deliverables (e.g. doctrine, analysis, research papers, policy and implementation guidance) to include development of implementing guidance, TTP and capability documents. Position resides in the Crystal City, VA. Offices in support of multiple government clients. Travel is anticipated with this position. Position Responsibilities Conduct operations research and analysis of Federal Government, including the DOD, Protection programs to include their impact to mission operation, resources requirements and relationship to other programs of record. The incumbent must be able of working both independently and in groups. The incumbent will be responsible for developing, briefing and defending analysis methodologies. Specific areas of focus will include protection of fixed site military installations and other government facilities. Position will provide technical and analytical support in the research, analysis and integration of Protection programs, such as Force Protection, CBRNE, CIP, AT, and Emergency Preparedness across the DOTMLPF domains. Applicant is responsible for providing timely and responsive reach back support to on-site staff for multiple clients. This will include document reviews and analysis of technical reports and studies. Complete detailed research using Intranet, Internet, CBIAC, and other sources to support Protection, Force Protection and Emergency Preparedness project delivery and business development. Plan, develop and assist in development, preparation for and execution of detailed analytical research efforts in support of capabilities based planning. Will be responsible for specific portions of projects. Directly responsible for the development of JCIDS analysis and related capabilities documents. Conduct and/or participate in assigned projects and activities with a minimum of supervision and within time and logistics constraints. Manage, as assigned, projects that will involve multiple organizational units or agencies. Will develop reference models for the capture and inclusion of client requirements in support of enterprise architecture. Develop white papers and position papers based upon results of analytical and research efforts. Develop reports and reports for results of analysis. Develop process and logical data models to facilitate the development of client organization enterprise Architecture. The incumbent must be capable of utilizing established process and modeling notation (e.g. Business Process Model Notation) to represent client activity and system processes. This is a full-time position. Required Qualifications -Documented experience conducting detailed search and analysis of documents on complex issues. -Ability to excel in complex situations, which require analytical, interpretive, evaluative and/or constructive thinking and to pull together input from diverse sources and produce clear, concise summaries and recommendations. -Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously and execute daily duties with minimal supervision. - Ability to work effectively with other analyst and subject matter experts across varying fields of expertise as a part of working groups. - Basic project management skills (managing time, resources and deliverables). - Minimum of fours years of relevant experience in the area of Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) to include CBAs, ICDs, AOA, CDD and CPD development. - Experience with J-8 JCIDS documentation staffing process. - Familiarity with the terminology and concepts of Protection and protection related programs of record across the department of defense to include the services and related agencies. - Ability to obtain and maintain DOD Secret security clearance. Preferred Qualifications -Familiarity with Department of Defense Architectural Framework (DODAF) v1.5. -Proven proficiency with database research and retrieval of technical information from DTIC, CBIAC, ATEP, KM/DS and other established report and program archives. -DAU Acquisitions experience and successful completion of basic DAU courses. - Active DoD Secret security clearance. - Familiarity with military terminology and organization - Masters degree from an accredited university.
