Purchasing Manager

§ Oversee and manage VMI programs. Monitoring these programs to make sure they are meeting our expectations.

§ Negotiate total costs with suppliers, and assisting buyers with their negotiations.

§ Purchase of designated commodities.

§ Responsible for creating and monitoring supplier report cards.

§ Work to improve vendor on time deliveries to the department goals.

§ Coach buyers on the necessary skills needed to improve the department output.

§ Responsible for communication with Outside Sales Representatives.

§ Department representative with customers.

§ Promote Focus activities by working to improve and stream line the department processes.

§ Responsible for vendor visits both internal and external.§ Must understand and maintain safety and housekeeping standards.§ Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:

Must have 3 to 5 years experience in purchasing / inventory control, and/or other related areas and have High School Diploma or equivalent.  Bachelor of Arts degree in Business or similar discipline or equivalent preferred.
