Purchasing Support Specialist

The Purchasing Support Specialist is to provide direct support to all programs requiring procurement and logistical support. This position is critical for purchasing, tracking and accountability of all equipment and services provided to the division and the division's contracts.

Responsibilities of the position include:
Identifying and vetting potential vendors
Negotiating with vendors to achieve the best price possible
Creating and submitting purchase requests for equipment and services
Tracking and maintaining records for active purchase orders
Coordinating with vendors to ensure delivery schedules are met
Interacting and organizing deliveries with facilities both domestically and internationally
Utilizing a database to track all equipment and services through completion of delivery and payment
Assisting finance personnel with performing internal audits of past purchases
Submitting invoices for direct and indirect services

Qualifications for the position are:
At least three years of procurement experience
At least three years experience using and maintaining databases
Excellent knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
