QC Supervisor

Supervise all hourly inspectors daily work activities, vacations scheduled, time / attendance and any necessary employment management actions. Prioritizes schedules based on product introduction and manufacturing schedules, maintaining a minimum turnaround time; schedules resources to maximize quality control objectives. Responsible for first-line direction of inspections/quality assurance associates involved in the development, implementation and maintenance of quality assurance systems, standards and activities. Hires, trains and motivates associates supervised; outlines and implements training procedures for associates regarding inspections operation including drawings, prints, schematics and quality assurance standards. Assures smooth operating of the inspection unit, maintaining daily records and reports. Coordinates the disposition of rejected materials. Provides input in the development of product specifications and workmanship standards. Makes recommendations for capital expenditures and manpower for inspection area. Performs other related duties as required.   Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; and minimum two years related experience and/or training. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.   Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
