Quality Control Analyst

In this role, perform source inspection and quality audits at supplier's facilities to facilitate prompt receipt of fully acceptable materials in support of various submarine programs. Detailed responsibilites include: 1. Assist suppliers in understanding EB purchase order requirements with a focus on problem prevention. 2. Review material certifications to verify compliance with purchase order requirements. 3. Perform physical inspections of hardware and witness operational tests on a sample basis to verify conformance with purchase order requirements. 4. Perform quality audits to assess compliance with various quality systems, products and process specifications. 5. Prepare written detailed reports reporting results of inspections and reporting individual and programmatic deficiencies for corrective action. 6. Interface directly with suppliers in an independent and professional manner. 7. Travel extensively to various locations in support of the above.Required Education/TrainingHigh school. Technical education optional.Experience Five plus years minimum experience in the Quality field.Proficiency in the use of inspection tools and the review of material certifications. Must be able to pass a 40 hour course in generic material verification (GMV) techniques. Possess a knowledge of ship's certification. Candidates who have knowledge of welding processes are preferred. Qualified NDT certifications are considered a plus.
