Quality Control Inspector, Metal Injection Molding (MIM)

We require an individual with a strong background with machined parts, that will suggest and implement improvements to existing policies and procedures as part of their duties.

The right candidate will:

· Have 5 years minimum experience with metals, sheet metal or machine shop type operations.

· Be experienced in reading complex blue prints, defining measurement techniques, performing inspections and documenting data.

· Have proven math skills.

· Have strong organization and communication skills.

· Have demonstrated computer literacy.

· Have some college level courses.

· Be a self-starter and able to hit the ground running.

Job function:

· Perform inspection of machined and non-machined parts, including visual, dimensional and other methods to determine conformance to requirements.

· Be able to use typical manual measuring instruments, as well as Optical/ Programmable CMM & Optical comparator.

· Perform inspection of molds, tooling and fixtures.

· Coordinate gauge calibration system including performing calibration.

· Complete all documentation including job travelers, return material authorizations, and inspection reports for quality records.

· Assist in determination of disposition of non-conforming parts, developing and verifying corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of defects. 

· Assist in internal ISO 9001 audits to assess the effectiveness of the quality systems and conformance to ISO 9001 and customer requirements.

Pay rate:  Hourly, as appropriate depending on skill set and experience.
