Quality Engineer- NDT

The Quality Specialist for NDT routinely performs independent assignments in support of Hydro-Aire’s QA system requirements through all phases of design and manufacture to ensure contractual commitments are met.  Assignments are usually in the form of a project, process, or area responsibility.Responsibilities:  Serve as Hydro-Aire’s level II or III Radiographer for NDT and maintain status: Provide necessary training to lower level NDT operators;  Maintain up to date knowledge applicable to government, industry, customer, and Hydro Aire specifications and standards;  Perform audits IAW AS9100 audit plan; document findings and obtain corrective action;  Respond to and support customer and supplier request for assistance;  When required assist in conducting preliminary analysis and evaluate failure modes and prepare failure analysis and corrective action reports from RMDR system data, or as directed by customer requests; When required assist in conducting component level product evaluation when a failure analysis indicates non-conforming parts, processes, or workmanship as the cause;  Review and generate QA procedures and work instruction in support of the company’s Quality system;  Develop and maintain Hydro-Aire training/instruction program relevant to NDT processes, and provide necessary training/instruction to support the program;  When required assist in conducting lab operations/evaluations concerning material processing, testing, and engineering studies; Conduct tests and analysis to verify compliance of test stand fluid to industry standards. Training will be provided; When required assist in conducting failure analysis on returned product as well as internal processes failures;  Evaluate new equipment for his area of responsibility and process supporting Capital Expenditure Request (CER’s);  Participate as required in continuous improvement activities;  Provide excellent customer service internally and externally; Professionally and effectively integrate with internal process customers, suppliers and external customers at all levels; Champion new ideas and processes to improve quality, efficiency and reduce cost;  Be an ambassador for Hydro-Aire within Hydro-Aire, at our customers and our suppliers.
