Quality Inspector

Franklin Products, Inc.is a leading manufacturer of ergonomically designed airline seat cushions, wheel chairs, tray tables, and other miscellaneous components.  We operate facilities in Torrington, CT, Dallas TX, and Leighton Buzzard, UK.  Since 1988, Franklin Products has been dedicated to quality products, good service and customer satisfaction.  We invest heavily in testing and design technology to provide our customers with the best possible ergonomic designs, and our fully integrated manufacturing facilities feature both molding and fabricating capabilities that deliver the highest quality products even with short lead times.  Our sales facilities in North America, Europe, and the Pacific Rim work with our family of customers that includes seat manufacturers and major airlines.





Under supervision, inspect and/or test parts, materials, and completed airline cushions to insure conformance with standards.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Inspects outgoing parts, materials, or work pieces to meet required quality, visual, and dimensional requirement of engineering drawings and organizational specifications.
2. Visual inspection of finished products for dimensions, and appearance.
3. Completes and distributes appropriate paperwork.
4. Complies with all safety and quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
5. Performs other such duties as needed or required.




REQUIREMENTS:
Flexibility with regard to job assignments.
Ability to read, write and speak in English, bilingual a plus.
Ability to lift 30 pounds, if required.
Ability to read and interpret work orders, engineering drawings, and/or assimilate verbal work instructions.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two - five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to conduct visual inspection according to engineering standards.
Ability to fill out quality documentation.
