Quality Manager

Cobham Defense Electronic Systems-Nurad Division is a design and manufacturing company of microwave antennas and radomes, located in Baltimore, MD.  Nurad is actively seeking a highly motivated individual to become a part of our dynamic team as a Quality Manager.  The position will be responsible for:Maintaining and managing Nurad quality systems (ISO 9001, AS9100) to assure that all products manufactured by the company meet customer specifications

·  Interfacing with customers and government representatives to find resolutions to problems with in-process or final product acceptance.

·  Managing a team of 4-8 quality personnel, including inspectors, quality engineers and document control. 

 

Position Requirements:

·  5-10 years experience as a Quality Engineer or Quality Manager in a manufacturing environment.

·  Bachelors Degree preferred.

·  Extensive knowledge of AS-9100 and all applicable military inspection and quality standards.

·  Fluent in root cause analysis and the 5 Why approach.

·  Experience in the use of quality measurement equipment, including CMMs

·  Ability to read and understand technical specifications and engineering drawings.

·  Must have working knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·  Ability to prepare and present professional presentations in a customer setting.
