The Satellite Control Network Contract (SCNC) is a major government contract tasked with the development and sustainment of the Air Force Satellite Control Networks (AFSCN). Developing the new generation of ground support antenna systems is a critical engineering priority for this contract, as well a sustainment (maintenance) endeavors of legacy ground station antennas located world-wide. Job Description:Performs analyses/audits of work performed against a specific process. Reviews processes that indicate how activities are performed in operations, engineering, documentation, maintenance, facilities, and training. Able to participate on teams as a member and/or sub-task leader.
Performs basic quality techniques, to inspect, track, analyze, and report on materials, processes, and products to ensure they meet the customers quality standards and requirements. Performs hardware quality audits, in process builds inspections within development, sustainment and maintenance areas. Writes corrective action requests on findings from audits. Inspects to ensure that product and associated documentation meets requirements of the MTN, material transfer notification, before shipping to sites. Reviews processes and work instructions for effectiveness, technical content, adequacy, and conformance. Recommends changes for improvements. Communicates the quality program requirements, by monitoring results and/or metrics and analyzing the data. Takes action as needed based on control plans. Witnesses test procedures as required. Provides support of the Honeywell continual improvement (Six Sigma) program by making recommendations on changes to the program that reflects organization and customer requirements. Assists in the generation and maintenance of process planning, proper disposition of discrepant hardware and assists in the assurance that corrective action measures meet acceptable standards. Applies and maintains quality standards and collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements. Assures that software requirement traceability is developed and maintained throughout software development and maintenance life cycles, from design through to test plans and procedures, installation, and final documentation and media delivery. Reviews all software documentation generated by the organization and project for quality completeness, conformance, compliance, and traceability to contractual requirements. Audits the software processes and facets of software development and maintenance activities for completeness, conformance, compliance, and traceability. Establishes and maintains quality records and reports in accordance with contractual requirements.
US Citizenship required for Secret Security Clearance.
Basic Qualifications: BA/BS degree with 5-10 years of experience in Quality and Internal Auditing. In lieu of formal education, 13-18 years of directly related experience may qualify. Active Secret Security Clearance is preferred or the ability to obtain an interim clearance within 30 days and full clearance within 12 months.
Additional Qualifications: Six Sigma Green Belt preferred Internal Auditing Certification or Lead Auditor Certification proffered
