R08 - Manufacturing Engineer

MPC Products Corp, an industry leader in the design and production of Motion Control systems, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Build-To-Print Department. The Successful candidate must examine customer drawings and paperwork requirements, determine and recommend necessary tooling, create work instructions, assist in creating/modifying work cells, area layout, and work balance, process improvement. This individual will assist Piece Part Mfg Eng and Inspection depts. with material issues. They will also train assemblers, assist with production problems, problem-solving. The responsibilities in this position also include developing, obtaining and maintaining tools and fixtures and test equipment (new and existing). This individual will also address quality issues, identify problems, and come up with solutions-implement necessary changes to component, process and/or documentation.The ideal candidate for this position must be a self-starter, and be skilled in the areas of problem recognition, solution, implementation, and enforcing skills. He or she should be experienced in process, evaluation, improvement, development, production troubleshooting, and design review, tooling application and technical writing. Candidates must have excellent organizational skills, mechanical and electrical knowledge, and must also be good with tools. Including: OAcad, and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) necessary. A BSME or BSIE is required. This position requires that candidates must have 1-3 years of manufacturing experience. Experience in a job-shop or Batch-Type Manufacturing environment and knowledge of Lean/Agile Manufacturing principles are desired.
