DESCRIPTION: We are currently recruiting engineers to support contracts in the Bay Area and are searching for an individual to perform reliability modeling and analysis on space structures and high reliability electronic circuit modules, LRUs and racking mount systems. Key responsibilities will include:

• Perform reliability modeling of complex electronic and mechanical systems. Modeling approaches to include functional models, reliability block diagrams and fault trees.
• Conduct reliability predictions of individual hardware and reliability assessments of systems and subsystems.
• Develop and prepare detailed Failure Modes and Effects Analyses of systems with the ability to assess criticality and Pareto rankings.
• Conduct de-rating and overstress analyses and assessments for electronic systems.
• Make design improvement recommendations to enhance reliability.
• Interface with design engineers to understand system functionality and coordinate the implementation of design improvements into technical data packages.
• Support statistical analyses for reliability and system.
• Support the implementation of diagnostics and prognostics into system designs to enhance reliability, testability and maintainability.

REQUIREMENTS: Candidates should have a BSME or BSEE with 10 years experience in reliability engineering for high reliability military systems; training or experience in the use of industry standard reliability tools (RELEX, ITEM Toolkit or similar), probabilistic analysis and statistics; skilled in the use of computers for mathematical analysis and MS Office applications; proficiency in writing technical reports and verbal communication with other engineers; ability to present technical information clearly in oral presentations; excellent problem solving skills and ability to work with minimal direction; and effective leadership and interpersonal skills.  Candidate must have the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
