Title:    RESPONSE CENTER / HELP DESK                                  

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION(S):

Provides technical, operations and training support to users of personal computers either by telephone or on-site.  Performs hardware diagnostics and coordinates repairs. Assists in planning and designing personal computer support systems. Installs and tests personal computers, printers, and other peripherals; configures operating system, shrink-wrap programs, and applications software programs. Develops reports and databases. Provides hardware and software technical support for personal computers.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

.. As part of the Hanscom Response Center, provide over the phone and remote assistance to desktop system users at Hanscom Air Force Base.

.. Provide support for Windows XP, Office 2003, commercial and Government applications.

..Perform Computer Security functions.

..Use Remedy-based call tracking system to ensure timely resolution of all service requests. 

.. Provide administration of network and email accounts.

 

DESIRED SKILLS

.. Demonstrated effective interpersonal and phone communication, listening, problem identification, resolution and customer management skills

..Comprehensive PC literacy

..Ability to diagnose and resolve end-user problems

..MS Office and MS Windows

 

 

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

..2 years of professional experience.

..Active Directory administration

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

..Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education. 

 ..A+ Certification
