Receiving Inspection Facilitator (Product Certification/Documentation Resolution)

We are currently seeking a full-time Inspection Facilitator for our Brea, CA office to serve as the primary point of contact for KAPCO|VALTEC suppliers in the resolution of certification/documentation issues identified during the course of Receiving Inspection activities. The Inspection Facilitator will provide all pertinent information to the supplier in order to gain correction and/or completion for product related certifications. The Inspection facilitator will serve as the liaison for all-interdepartmental inquiries with regards to parts on hold and coordinate the exchange of pertinent information/data with Supplier Quality, Purchasing and Engineering personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Serves as point of contact for suppliers in the resolution of certification issuesProvides all necessary information to suppliers in the resolution of certification issuesValidates dimensional discrepancies as necessarySubmits MRB documentation when necessaryCreates AS9102 (First Article Inspection Reports) as necessaryMaintains department metricsPerforms other duties as required.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS Education Requirements
High School Diploma or GED and additional courses or training in: Microsoft Office Suite Applications, Quality Systems, General Business Practices, or other job-related field of study
Experience Requirements
Two to three years experience in Quality, Receiving Inspection, or similar job capacity. Must have prior experience interacting frequently with vendors and/or customers to resolve problems. Intermediate-level knowledge of inspection techniques is required. Geometric Dimensional Tolerancing knowledge desired. Understanding and experience in the processing of non-conforming product per AS9100 requirements required. CMM experience desired. Blue print reading/interpretation required. Aerospace industry experience strongly preferred.

This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time and the frequent and extended use of hands to finger, handle, or feel in order to perform functions such as keying on a computer keyboard and filing documents.
