Receiving Manager

  Responsible for the organization and coordination of the personnel.  Ensures the day-to-day directing of the Receiving/Warehouse department of all transfer to the main distribution center.  Receiving all inbound deliveries and verifying piece count versus open PO.  Ensures that all in bound product received is sent to stock in a timely manner. Coordinates the activities of the Receiving/Warehouse area under the direction of the Senior Director of Operations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: ·  Responsible for hands on involvement in all aspects of the distribution operation (UPS, LTL, Returns, Receiving, Restock & Transfers) ·  Responsible for the daily scheduling of 20-30 receiving personnel to ensure proper staffing in order to select and receive products at the facility in a productive and cost-efficient manner. ·  Must be flexible and multi task oriented, able to work in a fast pace environment; ability to support and oversee the receiving and warehouse area.   ·  Responsible for setting goals, meeting and exceeding the expectations that all PO’s are received and put a way with in 12 hours. ·  Mobility required throughout all areas of the warehouse for extended periods of time. ·  Working directly with Sales and Purchasing to ensure the expediting of orders and customer requests. Ability to lead, motivate, interface and work effectively with other departments. ·  Assemble stock transfers to meet the demands of remote warehouses as well as meeting the demand for current orders. ·  Strong interpersonal and team building skills and a leadership style that obtains results through a strong set of values. ·  Proficiency in the operation of material handling equipment including but not limited to narrow aisle and sit-down forklifts, order pickers, and power pallet jacks. ·  Developing, improving and implementing operating standards to produce optimum results ·  Organize, develop and effectively implement systems to ensure a smooth daily operation. ·  To increase productivity and reduce the cost of Warehouse/Distribution Center operations. ·  Ensure accurate reporting, controls and performance measurement of all receiving activities. ·  Responsible for gathering and leading the team that assists in the processing of the product to the proper departments.   ·  Responsible for assuring that the receiving and warehouse area is organized and clean. ·  Supervises workflow and monitors employee performance and attendance. Work closely with Human Resources to satisfactorily implement corrective action procedures according to company policies. ·  Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all time ·  4 years experience in distribution and warehouse operations including shipping and receiving. ·  Knowledge of warehouse layout, work flow, work process, warehouse management systems, RF (hand held scanner) applications, etc. ·  High School diploma or GED ·  2 years’ supervisory experience; Bachelor’s Degree in business preferred. ·  Strong analytical, organizational and troubleshooting skills. ·  Must be proficient in MS Word and Excel.   ·  Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written   Location: Miami, FL 33172 Status: Full Time, Employee Work Experience: 2+ to 5 Years Career Level: Manager (Manager/Supervisor of Staff) Education Level: High School or equivalent Reference Code: 3869
