Regional Operations Manager

Qualifications:

 

We are currently in need of a strong and experienced individual that we can trust to run a tight ship under the guidance of the Senior VP of Operations.  Some experience in Aviation/Ground Handling is required, although experience as a Regional Manager in Aviation/Ground Handling is a preferred. Must have experienced in managing a staff of at least 100-150 people.  Must be straight forward, honest, and have integrity.  Candidate must be willing to travel quite extensively along the West Coast, and be willing to go the extra mile to get the job done.

 

We are looking for someone with strong management skills, experience with customer relations, and who has excellent communications skills (must be able to communicate effectively in English).  Experience in scheduling shifts/hours is looked upon favorably.  Must be comfortable with handling personnel issues such as hiring, promotions, employee development, disciplinary/corrective actions, and interviewing. Should have experience in controlling a large payroll and budget. When reporting to Ownership and Sr. Management, you must strive for accuracy, and have a detail oriented eye.  Also must be good with numbers/figures, and be very proficient with a computer and Office.  Must also be comfortable with communicating with Senior management on a daily basis. Ability to organize and plan work adhering to deadlines, and to follow verbal and written instructions; ability to prioritize and manage multiple work projects; ability to work effectively with all people at all levels of the Company and Customer organizations.

 

 

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Position is responsible for the oversight of the daily operations of our ramp services and cleaning operations in about 10 different locations across the West Coast. • Directly responsible for coordination/reporting/resolution of all Operations/Service issues. • Ensure development and implementations of the daily operating plan with direct input from Executive Management and the local Station Managers, Operations Managers, and GSE Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities also include: Informing and advising sales staff on business strategies and opportunities that affect the performance and profitability of the company. Providing leadership and facilitating a working environment that builds and sustains teamwork and professionalism in the support of the company’s strategies, goals, objectives and the customer’s requirements. Must maintain exceptional standards of professionalism, teamwork, and performance and be able to facilitate cooperation, communication and coordination of actions that directly and indirectly affect other divisions within the company. Ensure unity of purpose and consistency with company’s objectives and strategy.

  Duties not listed within the position description may be required of the employee at the discretion of the department management.

 

Physical Demands:

Requires sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time. Requires frequent bending or stooping. Requires occasional climbing, reaching above shoulder level, crouching, squatting, kneeling, and balancing. Requires frequent lifting and carrying weight up to 35 pounds and occasional pushing or pulling weight up to or over 100 pounds. Requires repetitive foot movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
