Reliability Engineer

This position is supporting the Orion Contract at NASA/Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. Duties: Support Safety & Mission Assurance (S&MA)and Reliability, Maintainability & Supportability (RMS) engineering for Orion related tasks Perform failure Modes Effects Analyses/Critical Items Lists (FMEA/CIL) Provide technical data to support CEV Probabilistic Risk Assessments Provide technical data to support CEV Probabilistic Risk Assessments Perform RMS activities and document results Identify the rationale for acceptance of Design for Minimum Risk (DFMR; Implement GIDEP and NASA Advisories/Alert process Participate in RMS Working Group telecoms Input and maintain data for end items Travel may be required Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

Required

BS in Engineering and normally possess 3-8 years of experience in related field

Experience in S&MA and/or RMS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

US Citizenship status; Position located at a Federal Campus, NASA/Johnson Space Center and must be able to pass a background check

Preferred

Experience with Fault Tree Analysis, preferred

Ability to work with the customer on a professional level
