Representative Logistics - FCS Training ISD

The company designs and builds armored vehicles and subsystems for the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, and international customers, and is the defense industry's largest supplier of armored military vehicles.Description of Work: The person in this position will utilize Instructional System Design (ISD) principles to design and develop Training Support Packages (TSPs). This person will be performing tasks involved in all phases of the traditional training development model including analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Additional responsibilities include communicating with engineers and programmers on training content, learning assessments, and media delivery. It is expected that this person become knowledgeable with Army training development guidelines and the ability to prescribe the appropriate learning techniques. The keys to success in this position will rely on expertise in instructional design, analytical skills, technical writing, effective use of adult learning strategies, proficiency in e-learning design principles and product evaluation. Skills and/or experience in multimedia development and/or courseware authoring are preferred. Specific job responsibilities include:- Develop training products using adult learning theories and distance learning techniques.- Work directly with subject matter experts, other instructional designers and multimedia developers. - Locate source materials such as Technical Manuals (TMs), Government Regulations and Training Publications. Communicate with government personnel on training concepts through demonstrations and product reviews. - Prepare and review storyboards for technical accuracy, conformity to customer standards and guidelines. - Ensure proper development of courseware: storyboards, programming, and final product deliverables.- Provide quality control checks on training products and supporting materials. - Evaluate training products and recommend revisions based on the four levels of instructional evaluation. Training Development activities include: Individual Job Analysis Individual Task Analysis Media Determination Gap Analysis Trade Studies Training Product Development Data Management Job Requirements: 1. Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design or Education is required. Related experience and other disciplines will be considered. Advanced degrees a plus. 2. 1-10 years of training development experience is desired. 3. Experience in instructional systems design, training development and/or support of complex systems in a military environment is highly desired. 4. Familiarity with US Army training support structure, policies and procedures (TRADOC Pam 350-70 ) is highly desired. 5. Personal computer skills (competent with MS Office applications) required. 6. Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills desired. 7. Willingness to work in Prototype Shop and field test environment as required. 8. Must meet Anthropometric Size Restriction (ASR) requirements. 9. Occasional, short-term travel as required. 10. Occasional weekday and/or weekend overtime as required. 11. Front End Analysis w/emphasis on job/task analysis desired. 12. Courseware development w/emphasis on web-based learning desired. 13. Experience with Learning Management Systems highly desired. 14. Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
