Robotics Engineer

WINTEC is a high technology small business defense contractor conducting research and development and project support in the areas of avionics, weapons systems integration, and unmanned vehicle systems.  WINTEC currently has an opening for a Robotics Engineer to support software development, integration, and test of unmanned vehicles.

 

Qualifications:
MSCS/MSEE or BSCS/BSEE + 2 yrs

 

Preferred Experience:

* Experience with design, operation, and control of autonomous and tele-operated unmanned vehicle systems.
* Experience working with specifications, ordering, and tracking parts and equipment necessary to support vehicle assembly, integration, and field testing.
* Knowledge of test and evaluation of electrical/electronic systems for autonomous and tele-operated vehicles.
* Experience with systems/hardware design in industrial controls using embedded computers.
* Familiarity with software design with embedded systems using real time operating systems (e.g RT-Linux).
* Proven skills in customer interface and problem solving
* Professional oral and written communication and leadership skills

 

Primary Responsibilities:

* Evaluating system requirements, designing and implementing solutions based on high level requirements
* Modifying and maintaining software modules used in operator controllers and vehicle embedded computers
* Integrating and testing COTS products for use in existing unmanned systems
* Development of test requirements, plans, and procedures
* Conducting system level design verification and validation on unmanned systems
* Supporting field testing and technology demonstrations
